I am Joyce of {joyce} d. z. photography. I specialize in Engagement, Portraits, Lifestyle and Children photography but will accept wedding assignments if my schedule permits it.

I bought my first DSLR last August 2006 and started shooting primarily landscapes at that time. However, as I love interacting with people, I started accepting shooting portrait assignments shortly thereafter. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing: the smiles and giggles from children’s faces; the look of love that couples’ give each other; an individual look like models even for just an hour or so and the warmth that families exude to one another.

I don’t have formal training with photography but I have attended workshops and read books and the internet to keep me up to date. I guess I can say I am “sort of” self-taught.

My shooting style leans toward the modern and contemporary look and my ultimate goal is to mold, blend and capture the essence of human being accentuated by the beauty of nature and our surroundings.
